Google revealed that harmful PNG files contribute to the penetration of smartphones running the Android operating system, pointing out that there are three critical vulnerabilities recently discovered, Using s specially designed PNG code file.
These vulnerabilities affect millions of devices running the latest versions of Google's mobile operating system , from android nougat 7.0 to Android Pie 9.0. These files can run malicious applications on the phone.
After detecting this problem, Google corrected these vulnerabilities and corrected 42 security vulnerabilities in the mobile operating system, 11 of which were classified as critical, 30 as high-risk and one as moderate , asking the users to be careful when opening any png image file on their smartphone.
